What a year!! It’s hard to believe that 2015 is coming to an end this evening and we will be ringing in 2016. I had so many exciting opportunities this year and I look forward to see what 2016 will bring.
Before I reflect on my highlights of the year, I wanted to thank all of you for your support and comments. Champagneista wouldn’t be where it is today with out YOU and I thank each and every one of you for that. I love that this blog has not only become my little creative space but it has also introduced me to so many amazing people who I have created great friendships with. My blogger girls understand taking a million pictures or standing on a chair to get the perfect shot. I am so grateful to have met all of you and look forward to meeting more of you soon!
2015 started off with Derek and I celebrating our one-year wedding anniversary! Time flies when your having fun. We celebrated by going to dinner at Uchi (SO good) and we both got each other the same “paper” present; a picture of our first dance with the lyrics. Great minds think alike!
2015 was also another year jam packed with weddings for friends and family. We went to ten weddings this year and still had to miss out on some. We feel so blessed to have so many good friends who wanted to include us in their special days.
2015 also involved some incredible travel. We started off the year by going to Breckenridge in February with some friends to go skiing – or for me rolling down the mountain. Then in June we went on my first overseas trip to Rome and Florence. I officially have the travel bug…I hope 2016 lets me go to Greece! I went to Gulf Shores Alabama in August for my best friends bachelorette party and to the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles for another friend’s bachelorette party. We also went to Nashville for a wedding in September and I fell in love with that city. Live country music everywhere and great food. Can’t beat that! I also had a few trips to Dallas to see my girlfriends, which is never a dull moment.
2015 brought my one-year blogiversary! I can honestly say that after a year and a half of blogging I still love it and love learning more about the blogging world. I also had the amazing chance to go to the SBSCon in Charleston, which is quite possibly the cutest city on the planet. I am hoping to attend again in 2016 because I had had a blast and learned so much.
2015 also included time with my incredible family and my dogs! Family is so important to me and I am so blessed that I get to see mine so much. I also am so blessed by an amazing extended family with my in-laws and all of their family!
I’m off to Dallas to ring in the new year and for my best friends wedding. Sounds like a great start to 2016 to me! Now drink some champagne (duhhhh!) and enjoy your New Years Eve!
