I think fresh flowers may be one of my favorite things. Bringing home flowers and putting them in a pretty vase can totally bring out the best in a room. My all time favorite flowers are Peonies!! Bright pink, light pink, coral, white, I love them all! When it is Peony season, I go out of the way to buy these pretty flowers. Unfortunately, Peony season is short lived (May and June) and I can never get enough of these flowers. That’s when I decided to make this silk flower arrangement. Now typically I think a lot of fake flowers look cheesy and not life like at all. If you buy good quality silk flowers they look almost like a real flower! For those of you in Houston, my secret gem for silk flowers is Craftex. It is a wholesale distributor that has silk flowers and plants, vases, coffee table books, ribbon, etc. It’s basically a Hobby Lobby or Michaels BUT a thousand times better. I can spend some SERIOUS money in there. I bought all of my supplies for this arrangement from Craftex but you can find majority of these supplies at Hobby Lobby/Michaels.
1 bunch of silk Peonies
12 Plastic Lemons
1 10″ Rectangular Vase
I made sure I had my bunch of Peonies tied together so they were easier to work with.
Begin filling the bottom of the vase with the lemons. Once you have the first 4 placed in the bottom, place the Peonies in the vase. Fill the rest of the vase with the lemons. The lemons will cover up the stem from the flowers so make sure to play around with them until they do so.
Ta-dah! You can have beautiful Peonies year round!
